Meet Devin Reese, MSN, RN
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
It’s so nice to meet you! My name is Devin (he/him), and I became a psychiatric nurse practitioner because I’ve seen firsthand how impersonal the mental healthcare field has become. In a world of economic, political, and climate crisis, the last thing you need is a mental health provider who doesn’t listen and communicate effectively.
I started Reese Psychiatry to provide exceptional psychiatric services to the people of Washington State, and am so fortunate to be able to support wonderful people each day. My highest priority is to ensure that my patients have a space to be heard and appreciated while providing care personally tailored to their vision. And let me tell you, a brighter future is possible.
I grew up in San Francisco and am thrilled to now call the Pacific Northwest my home. My education background includes an MSN from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, and a BA from Whitman College in Walla Walla, WA. I also took graduate classes in cinema at San Francisco State University and maintain my passion for making and watching movies. I am a proud luddite with a DVD player and deactivated social media accounts who advocates for fostering community whenever possible. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, taking improv comedy classes, and playing rugby with the Snohomish County Rhino Rugby team.

My Personal Statement on Equity and Inclusion
I recognize that mental health is profoundly affected by systems of power, culture, race, gender identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, and other intersecting identities. I am committed to providing affirming, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive care, particularly for individuals from marginalized and historically underserved communities (including BIPOC, LGBTQIA+) who experience higher rates of mental health struggles, violence, and discrimination. As a white, cis-gendered, straight man, my privileges are numerous, and as such I strive to use them for promoting equity and dismantling barriers to care. I’m outraged by the crimes of the Trump regime (including ICE/CBP), as well as the daily exploitation of people and the environment by ultra-high net worth individuals and their corporations. Please do not be ashamed if you are worried and sad about the current state of the world, for these are appropriate responses. My practice sits on the unceded land of the Duwamish people, who are still here, and I honor their ancient and ongoing heritage.
